Furniture Costs

There was a post on the nest that got me thinking, how much did/do you budget for all of your furniture for your new homes. Can you give a room by room breakdown?

Out of fairness. I will answer my own question - we budgeted about 15,000 for furniture. We had nothing except for one bed to start with. So far we are pretty much on target to be within that amount.

I don't really budget for those things. I know that's probably bad, but we've been collecting pieces as we've been going along. Granted we're in a one bedroom right now, but all we'll really need when we move into a bigger place is the loveseat that goes with our sofa and an arm chair. We're fortunate because JT's good friend is the president of a big furniture company
