FURNITURE Donation???
DH and I purchased a new couch set and it was delivered.
We have our old set pushed aside, but it needs to be moved out.
We spoke with our friends to see if they needed any part of the set, without any luck.
So, now, we know we can call the Town to pick it up, but we thought that maybe an organization/charity might want it.
But I'm not from LI and we'd want someone to come and pick it up as it won't fit in our cars to take it anywhere. So, I turn to you guys....any recommendations!!!
PLEASE!!

Try St. Vincent de Paul Furniture can be picked up at no cost to the donor. To arrange for a furniture pick-up, please call (516) 746-8250 (Nassau) or 1 (800) 884-7837 (Suffolk).

Not sure but try the salvation army. They used to pick up furniture, don't know if they still do.

St. Vincent was quite picky with us with some old dressers we have. Unless they are in great condition, they won't take them. Which is really a shame IMO.

Re: FURNITURE Donation???
We called St. Vincent de Paul. They don't open until Monday at 10am.
I called Big Brothers Big Sisters and left a message about wanting to donate my furniture.
I have the number to call Salvation Army - should I call them even tho I called BBBS? I'd hate to upset another organization before the other has had a chance to call back. IDK, tho. We need it out of our home....

I just saw a girl on Freecycle that is just moving out on her own and looking for furniture. I would bet someone that *really* needs it would come get it by tomorrow.
