FYI - Deal at Old Navy (carseat related!)
I was in Old Navy yesterday at the Source Mall, and they had a TON of buntings (fleece) in size 0-3 (a few in 3-6) on sale for $10!! Shorty posted about her great deal and I was on the hunt for one for DD. Of course, they didn't have her size, but I figured I'd pass this along to those who were concerned about the whole jacket/carseat thing!!

If when you say bunting you mean a "sack" type of thing, do not use in a car seat. The problem with most bunting is that the opening to allow the buckle to go through is actually too low to accommodate a child in the seat properly.
This said, there may be some new styles out there that would work. If you want to buy bunting, you can try it but if the opening for the buckle is at the ankles, do not use.
So if I have confused everyone - nobody said this car safety seat stuff is easy.

I guess I used the word wrong - technically, it's not a bunting! It is not a sack - it has legs and arms. It's fleece, not too thick AT ALL, and would keep a baby warm without the puffiness of a big jacket.
