FYI.. with all those tree removal threads!
You might need a permit to remove trees in your yard. Some companies will not remove trees without the permit.
In the Town of Oyster Bay and we need them. You have to fill paperwork and and inspector will approve or not.
Just an FYI to check with your own township!

Yes! My township has a tree conservation department. They don't want people to remove trees that don't need to be removed.

I took down a tree and no one said anything. It had to come down because it was threatening a power wire. LIPA cut it down. I'm in TOB.

You don't need a permit if it's LIPA. They are protecting the electric lines. That supersees any permit. I am pretty sure of that.

TOB does make you get a permit to remove trees, but our tree removal guy got the permit for us.
