you make it sound like he intentionally got himself hurt
injuries are part of the game
you roll with the punches and hope for the best
for example, take the pittsburgh steelers
on top of the world last year
rothlisberger has a freak accident and is injured
he's playing but you know it's not at 100%
the team suffers and we deal.

Pedro has been hurt for most of the season. I don't think it's too much of a surprise that he isn't well and might not have been able to pitch in the postseason. The Mets have been aware of this possibility for a while. I think it was more of a blow/shock when Sanchez got injured. The Mets recovered from that, and let's hope the starters can pull it together for the playoffs.

Pedro has been hurt for the last couple of years which is why he's been on the DL every year at some point for I believe the last 4 or 5 years. It happens with hard throwers. When they get older they just can't go a full season without injury.
El Duque has been named the game 1 starter.
