Games/toys/activities to help with balancing/hopping etc?

My DS (4) doesn't seem to be the best at balancing at one foot - hopping etc. Not sure what is completely normal but, he only seems to be able to balance for like 5 seconds and hop on one foot like 3 times. Seems to not have the best sense of balance to me. How can I work on this with him at home in a fun way? TIA!

-trampoline
-balance beam - you can just put a tape line down on the floor
-hop scotch
-jumping jacks
-bear crawl, crab crawl, wheel barrel walking
-holding his hands and jumping from one leg to the other multiple times in a row
-you can also just put "spots" on your floor or pretend foot markers on the floor and have him hop from left to right to left to right ect.....moving forward (hope this makes sense) in a line - as if you are walking but do it with hopping
-practice skipping forward , side skipping, backwards walking
- running and playing freeze tag or red light green light where he has to stop himself in the middle of the floor not using any outside support
-simon says game

these are just a few ideas - they all work on overall trunk/body strength, balance, bilateral coordination of the body and motor planning
FM me if you have any questions.

have him stand and balance on an uneven surface like a couch pillow or seat cushion ect.....and you can time him and then when he gets good at it make the game more advanced and have a game of catch while he is doing this

Try having him do the tree pose in yoga. It will work on his core and balance at the same time. Also swimming will work on his core.
