Garage attached to house and backing the car in (carbon monoxide?)

Do you think there is any risk in backing a car in to an attached garage, re carbon monoxide (such as when you start the car up to leave)? My thoughts are since the car and exhaust are closer to the house and further from the air of the open garage door, is there any increased risk of carbon monoxide entering the home? I never start the car with the garage door closed (or even shut it with the door closed). So I make sure air is circulating. But I would prefer to back in yet wonder about the exhaust so close to the house entrance during start up. Anyone have any facts about this or thoughts they care to share?

I dont have that but I can see the issue it might pose.Chat Icon

So what do you think? IS backing in worse than pulling in head first?

Wow! I just read that article and it was a wake up call for me. We have keyless and there have been a few times that our car has been left running mainly bc of the automatic start where we might have hit the button in the house inadvertently and actually the car ran all night (locked of coarse) and in the am we knew bc the battery was dead.

Our garage isn't attached to our home and the car wasn't in the garage but still...for the future this this something to keep in mind!
