Garage Door Opener's
DH has been wonderful to me since we moved into our house and we're getting a lot of small things done, but he keeps commenting that he would love a garage dpor opener, so on days like today when it's pooring, he doesn't have to get out of his car to close the garage door.
So, his birthday is in a month and a half, so I wanted to get people's recommendations on who to purchase a garage door opener from and who can install it and what it costs.
I know Home Depot/Lowe's can install, but have no idea what that would cost, or how well it would be done.
Any recommendations people have would be WONDERFUL! TIA!

Re: Garage Door Opener's
We are looking at Lowes to install a garage door opener. They had a deal, if you bought an opener over $150, the installation was $79

That doesn't sound bad. Have you ordered it?

Re: Garage Door Opener's
It was about 100 dollars, he got the cheapest one since we are redoing our house over soon.
It was that hard, all he needed was his ladder and some tools. I helped him for like 5 minutes to hold it up while he screwed it in. But other than that it took him maybe 3 hours to do.

Re: Garage Door Opener's
Our house came with an automatic garage door opener but when we had to replace one of the springs we used:
Raynor Garage Door Co Inc 366 Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY 11501 (516) 746-3550
I guess that's who installed it. Not sure DH is in charge of that department.
