Re: Garage Doors...steel vs Vinyl

I ran a door business in Texas for 5 years and if your garage is attached to your home, you want an insulated steel door, Wayne Dalton makes a good strong door.
I was never impressed with the old Fiberglass or new vinyal doors,I don't fees as though they handle the stress of movement and tempeture change as well as steel.

Good Luck,

Tom

Steel rusts and dents. Wood rots. Paint peels. Vinyl lasts and lasts. Vinyl won't a crack, corrode, peel, or flake or rust. We have vinyl and it looks brand new 8 years later.

We have Vinyl and one of the panels slightly buckled... It was our fault though because we left our hose sticking out of the garage for a few days. Just something to be aware of :)
