garden rocks delivered?
we';re looking to have some ricks deilvered for our yard for a ground type cover.....
does anyone know someone who delivers rocks?

Call Home Depot Lowes or if there are any garden centers around
I know there is one on hempstead tpke in Farmingdale. a Few blocks after Zorns and the caddy dealership on H tpke.

Depends on where you live. We used a guy out of Mastic last year for rocks and topsoil. I'm not sure of the name right now, but if you live out here - I'll get it for you.
You need to find a place near to where you live...saves on delivery. Check your Yellow Pages under "Landscaping Material".

I think all the landscaping/masonry/rock places will deliver (they don't expect an average homeowner to be able to haul 5 tons of rocks to their house in the trunk of their car...  ... although I would try it in my truck.  ) Just find someplace local, and the delivery should be either free, or some nominal cost. We had a pallet of stones delivered a few years ago. You just pick it out, arrange a delivery day, and pre-pick a spot in your yard to dump the stones until you can arrange them. If it's ground cover, you might be able to dump most of it in a part that is being covered, but doesn't have plants. (most plants don't do well when several tons of stones are dropped on them.)

We bought our flagstones from Bedrock in West Babylon. We were able to take them home ourselves, but they do deliver. I couldn't believe how much our flagstones cost
