Gardening Lime - Is it safe for dogs?
Dottie spends a lot of time in my parent's yard. My dad is having the lawn guys do a spring clean-up and they are spreading lime in the grass.
I've looked online and there isn't anything negative about it. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience.
Thanks!!

Not sure but I tell my gardeners not to use ANY chemicals AT ALL.
We will fertilize ONCE when we are going away and it is expected to rain.

I take a better safe than sorry stance with this sort of thing, just becuase there is not a lot of research. Also a larger dog may not be affected, but smaller dogs like our could be.
My first concern would be the pads....if the lime causes any irritation that is bad in itself, but then she might be prone to licking the paws with the products on them....that does not sit well with me IMO.
