How is everyones gardens doing in this hot weather? My grass is like hay, my hanging baskets have bit the dust and I lost some babies in the gardens
We really need some rain!

Re: Gardens/Landscaping
We were away last weekend and it was enough to fry our potted flowers. Our grass is doing well but we also have a lot of trees and shade which helps.
UGH... I can't believe it's 7:40 am and the CAC kicked on... can't wait to get the bill... NOT!

I water my potted plants everyday. Our lawan is pretty good, because DH is anal about keeping his lawn green. We have the srpinklers go on at night.

Re: Gardens/Landscaping
Darren is analabout the grass so he increased the amount of times Trugreen comes out and he has the sprinklers go on 3 times per week at 20 minutes per zone.

Re: Gardens/Landscaping
We've been watering at night again to give the plants/grass extra time to soak it up. I'm sure we'll have mushrooms growing in no time but at least they disappear as soon as your mow them.

Re: Gardens/Landscaping
It's a good idea to dead-head your plants...helps them stay healtier.

Re: Gardens/Landscaping
My plants are almost all dead.. thats OK though, because I just did a quick landscaping job this year. Next year we are concentrating on the outside of the house. I think we are getting our sprinkler system fixed this weekend so I hope that is going to help.
