Gas in the Town of Huntington
We're considering having gas put (back) in the house for a dryer and then down the line, a stove.
Do we need to get a permit from the TOH for this? (A line was already run to the house years ago but then removed by the original HO about 2 years ago.)

don't think so - especially if the old line was there as recently as 2 years ago. Is it already in the house and you just need a connection? Or is the service at the street and you need it brought into the house?

Re: Gas in the Town of Huntington
I'm really not sure what the status is. We know it was in the house (and then removed) so I'm not so sure what needs to be done. Trying to get in touch with Keyspan has been a PITA.
I did, however, get in touch with someone from the TOH and they confirmed that we did need a permit for a gas line and the plumber we use has to be licensed in the TOH. The permit is to ensure our safety...the TOH will then come out within 5 days to inspect the gas lines and levels. Interesting...
