gas pain scare and vent ... (mildy tmi)
I know half my posts are gas related, but I can't believe this is normal. I knew pregnancy would be icky and uncomfortable but this is ridiculous.
So I wake up with incredible sharp pain in my side, I'm scared it might be appendicitis, but it usually comes with diarrhea, which I wasn't having. So I stay home drink only warm water all morning, waiting for some other symptom. Its not going away, and I figure its just gas, so I start yoga, moving around, wii fit exercises, anything to get it out. After a while, I'm just burping small burps... but pain is still there, okay at this point I know its definitely gas.
So I get fed up, I make a fist and push it hard into the side that hurts, Holy CRAP, the pain jumps to the other side and I can barely walk. I'm scared to death I did something to baby. Cringing in pain after a few minutes, debating who to call and what to do ... one BIG fart later, and I'm back to my normal bloated gassy feeling.

sorry you have to suffer like that I get bad gas pains too thank goodness its out and the pain has subsided

Yes, they seem to leave all of this fun stuff out of the pregnancy manual!

Now that I'm feeling better I'm laughing about it too.
I think I'm going to give in and take some gas-x, was really trying to avoid meds, even safer ones, but I'm really over it now.

I went to hospital when I was like 10 wks pregnant with the same pain. I was MORTIFIED, when they told me it was gas. I laughed and cried.

Yes I also had the same pain you are talking about..I mean I cried in pain when the bubble moved..then Pfffftttt....and I felt better!!! LMAO!!!!!

not to laugh but i just laughed out loud at work......its sad how we can all totally relate to this. Sorry for all the pain but just think the relief once its all gone!!!
