gas prices have gone up 10 cents every week
for the past several weeks - with no signs of letting up
so I last night I was thinking... if this trend continues, it will be $9 a gallon a year from now

News said could be $8-$10 in 2 yrs.
I could cry.
Hope to get a priuis at least to help a bit in the next yr.

DH and I were VERY close to buying an '09 Murano in April. SO GLAD we didn't! 23 MPG on the hwy + it needs premium = NO thanks!

When we do get a new car (maybe in 2009/2010) we're def. getting a hybrid of some sort just to help a little. These prices are insane!!

We need to stop depending on other countries for oil amongst other things. People are not going to be able to afford to get to work for christ sake.

we have changed the way we drive around. We do alot of errands together now.
I fill up twice a month. Both of our cars take regular and get at least 30 mpg. I got 27.4 last week.
Thinking differently.

we need to start drilling in US areas that are "off limits" now!
