Gastric Emptying Study- Anyone have one?
I am having one on Mon and was wondering if any of you have had one and if you can tell me how it was. TIA
BTW: I KNOW this is health related but be kind and do not ask for this to get moved. It has a better chance for an answer here since it is not a super common test from what I was told.

I was supposed to have one (I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis), but the doctor told me it involved eating radioactive eggs. I HATE eggs, so I haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet.
That being said, my best friend is a speech pathologist and does a similar test to study muscles in the esophagus-she had it done herself and assured me that the test really isn't bad at all (and that I'm just a huge wuss).

I had to eat cornflakes. Maybe they dont have to do eggs. It was just a powder sprinkled on the cereal.

OK, so I had the test today. My Dr. told me it was an egg as well(which I do not eat and was dreading) Turned out it was cinnamon oatmeal. The worst part was laying still for 90 minutes on a hard table. Otherwise, a piece of cake.
Results in about a week.

Oatmeal and cornflakes? Hrmm...Maybe I should go to your doctors!
