gastro issues I think
I am experiencing on and off again major burning sensations in my throat, it feels like acid reflux but there are other symptoms that I have that have never been present with my acid reflux, for instance, it feels like I have a lump in my throat and can't get a good swallow it also makes me feel like gagging, like the side of my esophogus are toughing or something. I also feel very bloated in the belly area.
I am alittle nervous and not sure if I should ride it out, go to my regular dr, or go to a gastro dr.
I am also scared if they say I need to have an endoscopy, I have the worst gag reflex and am lucky I can swallow an advil
Anyone ever experience anything like this or have an opinion on what I should do.
I have taken 4 tums in the past few hours and even took a prevacid that dh had and still no relief
TIA

It sounds like bad acid reflux, but you may want to see a gastroenterologist.. I have a great one in Garden City..

Re: gastro issues I think
go to the doc - get a referral to a good gastro. you could have both regular reflux and SILENT as well - i had the silent reflux and had that swallowing problem.
I PROMISE you that you will not have any memory of the endoscopy and you will not feel a THING. I have litearlly had 4 of them done. They have a special spray that they spray in your mouth and you don't feel a THING.
The first time i had one done - i said to the doc - i can feel that - and he literally stuck 4 of his fingers down my throat and i sat there. He laughed at me (i was 16 at the time)....and i have to admit - i laughed too..
