I like the way they look...but my grumpy fashioned challenged BF thinks that they aren't dressy enough to wear to an engagement BBQ on sunday.... too bad, that's what I'm wearing

it depends... I love them when they're worn properly. but today at work I saw a woman wearing them with black tights and flats with a frumpy top.  she looked awful!
IMO, they look really nice with either long boots or sandals, sans tights!
