gave my notice but i have no work to do - should i say something?
I was about to head up 2 big projects at work but since i've resigned those projects have been passed on elsewhere. So....I am left with about 3 hours worth of work to be done over the next 10 days. I'm bored out of my mind!
Do you think I should say something to my boss? If she tells me that I can leave now (which I'd love) then I can start my new job sooner. And if I do say something to my boss, how do I word it? any suggestions?
UPDATE: I told her and she still wants me to stay thru the end.

i would definitely say something! they may appreciate it more if you're honest and say that "being since my workload is so light perhaps you it would be okay if i cut my remaining time down to the end of this week?"...i doubt they'll say no. good luck!!!!

I would say something. Seriously. Your employer seems to be so bitter about you leaving, Im sure they wouldn't mine you leaving a week earlier. Besides, Im sure you can use a nice week off to rest before you start your new job!
