Re: GD Test Aftermath

Yes i felt like crap for the day and it did eventually go away. Try to eat a real meal i found that helped me especially since i had to do the test 2 times. Feel better.

Re: GD Test Aftermath

I didn't have side effects, but was it early in the morning? Some people can't handle alot of sugar so early, so it might have upset your stomach?

Feel better! and have an amazing time!! And happy anniversary Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: GD Test Aftermath

I noticed I was extremely tired after both tests. It kinda gave me a feeling I was failing them, and low and behold I did. Tiredness is a symptom of high blood sugar, so it could be why you felt like shyte.

i'm FULLY expecting to fail (just a gut instinct along with my family history)....so it wouldn't surprise me...

thank you all for letting me know this is quasi-normal!!! I just ate a full meal (dave works until 9 - so we always eat dinner late) - and i'm not feeling much better - so we shall see what tomorrow brings!

I didn't mean to be debbie downer, but I remember you were kinda expecting it, hence my response. The GD has been a blessing in disguise for me, so if you do have it, feel free to FM me for tips! Good Luck.

I felt like poo after the 1 hour. Especially since I'm not used to sugary stuff. I felt somewhat better after eating breakfast that day. (My test was early).

Like Kris posted though, after my 3 hour test, I had tiredness. Actually the lab tech when I was leaving asked how I felt especially in the last hour and specifically asked if I felt tired, which I did. That last hour was hard for me to get through. As you know, I did fail the test.

NOT AT ALL hon - seriously!!!!!!!!! I was thinking that it cannot possibly be a good thing that this has 'upset' me this much physically...

I'll enjoy my last week of food freedom and then buckle down and do whatever they tell me to do. There is NOTHING i won't do for our baby....including eating like a bird if need be!

Thank you for the advice!!!! I always appreciate honesty and again - i had a feeling about it being not good (based on how i feel)!
