gender slip
Okay so with my first pregnancy the tech slipped but I wasn't really sure if I heard right but sure enough I was right it was a girl.
With this pregnancy I wanted to be surprised again. So we go for the anatomy scan and I say to the tech we don't want to know the gender. She says I never bring up gender only if the parents ask. Well the day I was there they had just got a new sono machine so it was almost like I was a guinna pig. They were showing other techs and doctors how to use it and probably overs canned me. Anyway the tech was so excited over the technology of this machine she blurts out to the other tech oh he's and then the other tech follow up by saying yeah he's doing...... So I say I'm having a boy and she quickly says oh no I always refer to it as he instead of it. I didn't even check the gender yet. I know that was I lye it was well into the scan. So my question is has this happened to anyone where you thought the tech slipped and the gender turned out different. Just a little bummed because I wanted to be surprised.

This happen to me twice (don't ask - techs were coming and going) - with my last pregnancy.
We were also team green...the first one had said, but i didn't hear said before my sono that she always refers to the baby as a 'he'
Another tech...said she was looking for 'his' stuff
I had a girl!

Re: gender slip
I have heard of places where they will always refer to the baby as a "he" by default. I think DH even did that a few times before we found out we were having a .

my sono tech and ob referred to LO as he all along and it's a I think that's just the generic pronoun they use so they don't keep calling baby "it"

Re: gender slip
found out at 21 weeks that I was having a Had to go back 3 weeks later for another sono and the tech said "he" two times. I said to her "I noticed that you referred to my baby as he. Is it a boy?" She said, "I have no idea, I just referred to the baby as he". I then asked her to check for me to confirm the gender and it was a

Re: gender slip
I had a nurse ask me if I was excited to have a boy, right after a sono. I was like, um, I don't know, we're not finding out.
We had a girl!
