General Election Dread
Is anyone else dreading when we get past the primaries and on to the general election? Right now, I'm kind of enjoying seeing all the candidates and watching them talk about their policy ideas, trying to differentiate themselves, and having good civil discourse. But I feel like once the democrats pick a candidate, then it's going to be hell because it will be Trump vs. that candidate. I kind of want to crawl in a hole and then come out to cast my vote.
I think part of my dread is that the last few elections have caused some tensions with my in-laws (Trump supporters) and I feel like this one is going to be 10x worse.
How's everyone else feeling about the upcoming election?

General Election Dread
Honestly I have so much day-to-day stress and anxiety about the current administration, I haven't thought of the next election at all. It's too early.

Nope, I am throughly looking forward to it. That much closer to getting rid of the POS.

General Election Dread
I am dreading it. I am not dreading the whole process and watching debates, etc., but what I am dreading is the outcome. In 2016, I was so disappointed that night and for a few days after. I was in a state of shock.
I hate saying this, and I hope I’m wrong, but I think Cheeto may win. It’s somewhat rare that an incumbent doesn’t get elected for two terms.

Nate Silver's polls recently predicted that Trump will win. I hope that scares Dems into rallying,

Nate Silver, 538, was also wrong about the last election, so who knows at this point?

Looking at Polls now is a waste. Honestly, after the last election I don’t think they should even happen. Every poll had Hillary winning. I dread the election because it brings out the nasty in people. I enjoy the debates and hearing the POV’s of the candidates. Right now I am curious to see who will be the Democratic nominee. The pool is wide and all over the place right now.
