General Practitioner Rec's? Npt/H-ton/Commack

Hi!

I posted a similar post to this in FHF, but I felt like it would be appropriate here too!

My insurance is changing from Aetna to Medicaid and my current GP (Northport Family Medicine) doesn't accept Medicaid.

I live in the Northport/East Northport area, but am willing to travel to Huntington or Commack. I've been with the same practice since I was a kid, so I'm at a loss regarding good GP's in the area. I'd love to hear your recommendations!

I go to North SHore Medical Group. I see Dr K ( her name is much longer and I dont know how to spell it) she is in their Commack Rd location and I love her. SHe is very thorough. My family has been with Drs in the group since the 80s and I have never seen a bad one there.

I really like Dr. Patrick & Lorraine Burns and I think they just started taking new patients again. I forget the name of the practice, I think it's Island medicine but they are on E. Main st in Huntington, I really like their PA Renee too! They have great evening hours and are really good about fitting you in if you need to get in last min. GL in your search.
