Gentle Vibrations

Has anybody used this? I bought one last week when I was visiting my sister in NC and put it under the mattress. She seemed to really like it. I returned it because it wasn't turning off after 10 minutes like it was supposed to and it wasn't turning on when she made noise like it was supposed to.

Since I came home, I bought another one and put it under the mattress but it didn't work unless the base unit was within 6 inches of the vibrating unit. I returned that one and the same thing happened. I called the company and they said that the monitor in the room is probably interfering with it and to unplug the monitor then try the unit. They said if that helps, that I could move the monitor to another location in the room and then both should work.

My question is, has anybody else had this problem and had it solved by moving the monitor? And did the monitor still work effectively once it was moved from next to the crib?

I had the same problem. Basically, the vibrating unit does not work if it is near the moniter. I tried putting the monitor on the other side of the room, just outside the door- in the next room even , but still it didn't work. It was a big waste of money for us.
