gerber stages/food?
i'm wondering when babies start gerber stage 1,2, and 3. also what is a sample day like with each stage (what type of food & how many jars per day)? thanx a bunch!

I believe we started stage 1 at 5 months. Stage 1 is exactly like stage 2 except stage 2 is more food. Stage 3 is ridiculously big IMO. DD is 8 months and I give her a stage 2 meat and a satge 2 fruit for dinner instead of a full stage 3.

We started DD on Stage 1 at about 3 1/2 months. She was only supposed to eat 1 jar of fruit a day (1/2 breakfast 1/2 lunch) but she ended up eating 2 jars a day by 4 months and then we added the veggies to it. So at 4 months she was eating 2 Stage 1 fruits a day and 1 veggie and it's just increased from there.
At 6 months old she was allowed to eat the Stage 2 and I went nuts! There are so many awesome varieties!!! So now at 8 months old she eats:
Breakfast- 1 containter DHA fruit & grain with oatmeal and a 6oz formula bottle.
Lunch- 1 Stage 2 fruit, 1 Stage 2 Veggie and a 6oz formula bottle.
Dinner- 1 Stage 2 meat/veggie combo and 1 Stage 2 fruit for dessert and a 6oz formula bottle.
Before Bed- Another 6oz formula bottle.
