Gettin' back in the saddle...again.
Hi all,
I am gearing up to try again....last FET was April. It was really difficult and totally fantastic to have had 5 months fertility free and just live and learn how to get back into the moment, without any guarantee of what the future will hold. I didn't think I would try again, but time and healing has allowed my heart to open again. We can so go into a long post about what happens when fear and hurt take over in this process but that's for another day.
I am looking for tips on how to maximize the outcome of my next FET. I saw someone post something about azithromycin...pineapple.. Here's the story:
6 IUI's - BFN 1 Fresh IVF - BFN 1 FET - BFP - Miscarried 5 and 1/2 weeks 1 FET - BFN
I took Glucophage during all IVFs for 4G/4G mutation. I am not going to do it this time - why? Because it is hard on my system and stresses me out, makes me feel sick and Dr. Stelling RSNY plus a 2nd consult don't think it makes a difference.
I have Hashimotos - on synthroid - will monitor levels carefully. They were jumping all over during last IVFs.
I want to approach this with a cool head, an easy attitude and the belief that I am not in fact broken and can indeed get pregnant.
I am lucky and grateful that I have some more frozen embryos...FETs are endurable.
Oh, and I had laproscopy and endoscopy 18 months ago for endo and fibroid....I know that I am nearing the end of the timeframe for which that surgery's benefits are helpful as it grows back...I am not doing that again however.
I was thinking a saline sonogram might be smart to check inside uterus for health, blocks, etc.? Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi....I don't have any advice for the FET...the saline sonogram sounds like a good move. Just wanted to wish you luck

Gettin' back in the saddle...again.
On my last FET that got me a baby (I had chemicals) I was seeing a different doctor who suggested fish oil and other therapies some doctors do not believe in. I wish you all the best. Have you consulted with Kofinas... he might be someone to try.

When you took the metformin were you on the er? I think that's what got me pregnant after many failed ivf cycles naturally for that same 4g mutation. I only took it once a day with dinner. It was rough on the stomach so I never increased it to twice daily. Maybe just try once a day. And I always stuck with acupuncture once a week. Good luck!!

Gettin' back in the saddle...again.
Thx for tips!
No insurance for kofinas, however I did see a periontologist who prescribed the metformin.....maybe I should consider 1 a day...I was on two and it was brutal.
Will begin fish oil. I didn't have great experience with acupuncture....I suppose I can handle 1 a week on that also.
I am remembering how. This is like a part to full time job.....

Oh yes I did do acupuncture! Ask for the extended release metformin. I'm wishing you all the best!

I was on the 750 xr.
Me too! I had to be on it for a while before I felt ok. It still hurts my stomach from time to time.
