Getting a good deal for listening to a timeshare presentation at the resort
Curious if anyone has stayed at a resort/condo for a good deal with the agreement that you will sit in on a presentation about the timeshare? I see some really great deals online with this stipulation, I just wonder if it's worth it or if it's a scam.

i sat in on two timeshare presentations in Hawaii and it was totally worth it. It wasn't in exchange for hotel accommodations, but we got super discounted tickets to excursions. All in all, two 40 minute presentations saved us about $400. Totally worth it IMO.

My MIL does it all the time...shes gotten vacations to Florida and the Poconos.
But she's good at saying no, because they really give you the hard sell at these things.

Re: Getting a good deal for listening to a timeshare presentation at the resort
A few years ago we got a 10 day vacation for about 400 for sitting in on a timeshare presentation. This included 3 nights in ft. lauderdale, a 3 night cruise to the bahamas, and 3 nights in orlando.
Oh, and we ended up buying the timeshare lol.

My sister has a timeshare at Orange Lake in Orlando. I have gotten deals for a few nights stay, if I went on a presentation. This place is very nice and very kid friendly. The tours aren't so bad, if you are up front with them and tell them your not interested.

Re: Getting a good deal for listening to a timeshare presentation at the resort
Just be careful, some places are SO pushy. We went to one in Disney at Summer Lakes (we were staying there as a trade in on one of my parents timeshares). The guy was so rude and I swore he was going to cry after 2 hours when we said we were absolutely not interested. Also, make up you mind before you go in about what you are going to say and if you are even considering it. A lot of people get sucked into it without having any intention of buying. But in the end, if you are saving $$ for sitting through a presentation, it's worth it

We have done them a bunch of times. Our favorite was the Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix.
