getting annoyed @ the doctor!
OK- so last night I told you all how it took almost THREE WEEKS for them to tell my I failed my 1 hour test.
Now- i've had TERRIBLE reflux since last night- so bad when I woke up on an empty stomach it was still raging.
I called 3 different people in the practice to ask what can I take and no answer.
Now it's almost 3 & it's so bad I feel like I have a moose sitting on my chest...
I called the L&D at the hospital to talk to the on call doc b/c no one got back to me...
so off to the drug store for zantac.
I am hating them.

Re: getting annoyed @ the doctor!
I would switch practices. That is unacceptable. They could have screamed over to a doctor to ask that question. Plus waiting 3 weeks for your results is crazy. I had GD and you would want to know if you had it right away so you could start eating properly.
So sorry you had to go through that!

I know- i should switch- but at this point it was so hard just finding someone I sort of liked- i do like the doctors- it is the management of the practice that stinks- and it is a BIG practice!

Re: getting annoyed @ the doctor!
That is just ridiculous! It's bad enough they took so long to get back to you about your glucose test results. Even though I've had issues with my doc, if I have a problem, he makes me feel like I'm his first priority and that's really important. Have you considered switching practices?

I would def switch - I did switch after issues arose a few times with my old ob and wound up loving my new ob (which I should add I switched to at 31 weeks!) - I had no idea how unhappy I was until then!! You deserve better - try talking to them about your concerns and if nothing changes, run to a new practice!!!

Re: getting annoyed @ the doctor!
I would definately think of switching. Unfortunately, with a big practice, I notice that you tend to get lost in the shuffle. If you are in NYC, I can give you a recommendation.
Good luck!

I'm going to tell my doc that I am NOT happy and see what she says.

Re: getting annoyed @ the doctor!
You need to get a new doctor ASAP.
Failing your 1 hour is not a minor thing...they should have called you right away. Having GD can be serious if it goes untreated/uncontrolled.
I am sorry but this behavior is unacceptable. RUN to a new doctor for you and your baby.

I have to agree with Michele. Three weeks is a long time to not have told you.

Re: getting annoyed @ the doctor!
i know it is unacceptable- again- more the office I think than the doctor- i'm going to have a major talk with her thursday & voice my concerns... we'll see what happens. hopefully I will pass the 3 hour.
