getting into the carseat nightmares
Bryan is in his terrible 2 stage of I dont want to be in my carseat- I want to drive. Everytime we go somewhere he asks if he can drive? When I tell him that no he has to sit in his seat and he is not old enough to drive I get a major fit. He has started smacking me just recently which has become very embarrasing in public. Any tips for getting him in his carseat quietly?

Re: getting into the carseat nightmares
We have the same problem. He usually wants to play with all the buttons and knobs on the dashboard and walk around inside the car.
The only thing that seems to work is to find out what he wants (snack, watch tv, play time - whatever) and tell him he has to get in the seat if he wants it. I know bribery and ultimatums are not the best way to handle it, but when I'm in a rush it's all I've got. When I'm not in a rush, I wait for him to decide he wants to go, and I tell him he has to sit in his seat before we can go and then he has no problem with it.
Good luck!
