getting my tooth pulled tomorrow
Has anyone else had it done while they were pregnant?
My dentist wont let me wait.

getting my tooth pulled tomorrow
Not the same, but I had a root canal when I was PG with DS. I took 2 extra strength tylenol as soon as I left the office before the lidocaine wore off. I also had a small heating pad that I used when the pain started.

I have. I had to go to the oral surgeon and they gave me Novocain instead of putting me to sleep. Wasn't too bad

If they knew that you were pregnant, then you probably received lidocaine NOT novicaine.
Novicaine has epinephrine and it should NOT be administered during pregnancy.

Im going to an oral surgeon. She said they would give me a local. I didnt ask what it was im asuming it was Novocane. But idk. I was having a root canal finished yesterday when my dentist told me he wont finish it till the tooth next to it comes out.

Good luck!! I've had 3 teeth pulled with only a local, not being put out. It was ok!! Maybe bring a ipod or something to distract you...
ETA - I wasn't pregnant when my teeth were pulled..

Good luck! I had two root canals done - actually I'm going today for my crown. They gave novocaine but without epinephrine (I think that's what it is) in it. I had no pain whatsoever. Even afterwards. Hope you're that lucky too!

It wasnt so bad. They used the adrenaline free anesthetic... It was over in less than 30 seconds. It hurt more right after than it does now. And the gauze is a bit annoying. It gets soaked with saliva so quickly...

Happy it went well!! Try not to change the gauze that much, you want the bleeding to stop..

Glad it went well for you. Just remember don't drink out of straws for a few days. The suction can cause the clot to dislodge and you definitely don't want to get dry socket!!
