Getting your records when transferring doctors...
I got an appointment next week at LI IVF and I'm very excited
I would like to get copies of everything that I've had done so far with my regular doctor (who I can't seem to get a hold of today...holidays just get in the way of this stuff!). Can they make copies of your sonograms to bring over? My last one was crazy and I'd really like the RE to see it and the difference from the cyst free one before. TIA!

For me, the doctor's office put them on a disc. And for my HSG, the hospital gave me the film.
ETA: They shouldnt give you a hard time. I would fax over a record release form. I typed up my own.

You should be able to pick up a copy of your records from your GYN the same day you request them - maybe 1 day later to give them time to put it all together. I was able to get all my info faxed to me from my OB/GYN before I went to the RE. THe RE office usually takes longer to send out records.

My GYN and RE spoke to each other frequently so I didn't need to get any records. I signed the HIPPA forms and they took care of everything.
