I just got back into GH - thanks to DVR! I am having a hard enough time keeping up with that LOL but I do want to check it out anyway!

I'm thinking it might get a little confusing. It says that the two shows will not intertwine. So if it happened on Night Shift, it will not necessarily happen on GH. Hmmmm.

I know this is going to be a dumb question, but - I don't watch GH now, I watched it years ago - will there be a whole new cast on the Nigh Shift show? I mean, it's a new soap, new storyline right - I should be able to pick up on it?

As per Wikipedia:

"As the second spin-off to General Hospital, Night Shift will delve deeper into the relationships, friendships and medical cases seen at the hospital. Night Shift's stories will be self-contained and wrap up during each one-hour episode. Characters will be selected from General Hospital and will be mostly comprised of younger characters with ties to core families. It has also been stated that Night Shift's storylines will not intersect with General Hospital's. Therefore characters who are on both Night Shift and General Hospital could be in completely different situations on each show."

I think you should be ok. Some of the cast will be carry overs and some will be new.

Are the characters all remaining on GH as well or are some of them making a full transition?

That was one thing that bothered me with Port Charles- they took Lucy, Kevin and Scotty to that soap and they disapeared from GH all together.

I tivo'd it. Can you tell me how long this is going to be on? Will boring Robin & Partick not be on during the day anymore? I hope this makes them more interesting.

Ok, I am watching the first episode now that I tivo'd, I understand that the storylines aren't going to transfer. HOWEVER, can someone explain how Jason is out of the state prison and can be at GH? This might be a bit ridiculous.

I set the Tivo to record it tonight..... I saw Robin, Patrick and Jason in the commercial. When I read the Tivo description, it said something about Spinelli also. Is anyone else from GH going to be a regular?

Spinelli was in the first episode, Dr. Winters, Dr. Lea, Cooper, Maxie, and all the new nurses that showed up last week on GH.

I used to be a huge fan of GH but haven't watched it in years cuz I'm just not home in time. So I'm excited about an evening version.

I'll pass on this one. I watched port charles a little bit and the storielines were a little too silly. Especially the vampire one...

This too shall flop.... JMO
