First things first---what area are you looking for? NYC? Nassau? Suffolk?
That will certainly help your search.

Re: GI specialis recommendations please
I have seen 2 other ones and I am on my 3rd. this guy is awesome!!! he worked with the head of a specific dept. of something I might have and he worked with the #1 guy to this disease. of course I can't see that #1 guy because he doesn't accept health insurance (his name is Dr. Green) so I see: Dr. Milkes in Great Neck. I live in northport so its a hike, but its soooo worth it. FM if you need more info.

Re: GI specialis recommendations please
I see Dr. Perry Gould at Gastroenterology Associates.
I "cheated" on him with a top clinic at Cornell and I went right back to him.
The only reason I went to Cornell was that I was being treated for some other things and my doc at the time wanted me to be seen by docs at Cornell for a team approach.
That didn't work out well. The practice was way too busy and I got nothing out of it.
Hence, why I'm currently being treated back at Gastroeterology Associates.
Dr. Gould was listed as one of the top docs in Newsday. He is quite modest though and won't talk about it.
He is a bottom up approach doctor. He believes less is more and really listens.
I hope whatever you are going through gets resolved quickly but I've been a GI patient for 30+ years and I'm extremely happy with this practice.
Good luck.
