Gibson area of Valley Stream (yes, a town question)
I know questions about specific areas can be a bit touchy on here, and I really don't mean it that way, but I couldn't find much on city data and don't really know where else to go for thoughts and opinions!
Does anyone live in or know the Gibson area of Valley Stream (Hewlett-Woodmere SD but in Valley Stream). Any info?

I do not live there but know a lot about it. Looked there when i was moving, and have friends in the area. FM me questions :)

Go ahead and rent The Brothers McMullen. Eddie Burns uses the whole area for the film--especially his parents' house.

My cousin is a teacher at the elementary school and loves it - the neighborhood, the SD, the parents.

That's wild! My IL's all live in Gibson, so they'd probably get a kick out of watching the movie!

I live in Gibson and LOVE it!!!! The neighborhood is awesome, houses are well-kept, close to everything!
FM me for specifics on houses you are considering, I know them all well!

My in-laws live there and DH grew up there. The town is very cute and DH loved growing up there.

My grandparents lived there - it is such an easy commute if you need to go to the city! LIRR is right there!
