Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits to burn...
If you received a lot of gift cards or have merchandise credits what do you intend to buy? Are you holding on to them or do you have a specific shopping list? I know I forgot to register for things like a seat protector for the car, etc., but I can't really think of anything.
With retail the way it is now, I'm afraid to hold on to any type of credit or gift card. I doubt places like BRU or BBB will go out of business anytime soon, but you never know!

We used some to buy the last few things we needed off the registry (extra towels, sheets, etc) and I would use merchandise credits for those if I were you.
As for GC's, save those puppies if you don't need to use them right away. You can use them for diapers and formula, and we had to use some to buy NB outfits for DS b/c we didn't have any and he was tiny when he came home.

I used them to purchase the medilla pump in style advance with the accessories. I did not put that on my registry and with the GC and returns I had almost $400.

they're great for diapers, formula and any other little things you realize you need once the baby's here. I would save them till you need them.

I'm definitely going to hold on to most of them for diapers but I was wondering if there was anything that most people wish they had more of that they didn't register for. I definitely need to get more sheets and onesies, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else that I may be missing.

Hold onto to them until after the baby is born. Things will pop up that you need/want. For example we started using Avent bottles but switched to Dr. Browns. DS liked the swaddle me so we bought more. He didn't like tummy time so I bought a mirror to help. We spent a lot of time at BRU and it was nice not to have to use our money. Then when he was 6 months old I used the rest to buy the regular car seat.
ETA In my experience don't buy too much shampoo etc. We have so much from my shower and costco. DS has sensitive skin so we can't use it.

I got the rest of the things I needed, and ended up with money left over. i help onto that till I needed things and believe me , it felt like I needed more things every other day.

i got SO many gift cards
i held onto them until i really needed things and then i got a 10% off anything left on my registry so I used that and the gift cards to get things that were on my registry that I really wanted and didnt get
Also returned a bunch of clothing to Macys so Im waiting until DS needs clothes - he has a ton right now
