Gift for dance teacher and assistants?
DD goes once a week. She has her teacher and then 1 or 2 young tween assistants.
Thoughts for gifts? I was thinking starbucks-$10 for the teacher and $5 for the assistants. Is that too little? I don't even know their names, lol, but I want to give them a little something.

That's fine. I don't know DD's teachers names this year, either (2 of them). They're each getting a $15 dunkin gfit card.

Gift for dance teacher and assistants?
Last year I gave $10.00 to each assistant and $15.00 to her main teacher. This year I am doing $15.00 each and $25.00 to the main teacher bc both my girls have her and shes great!

I don't plan on giving to them. I had to pay cash for recital outfit that was $90. As a whole dance school costs a lot.

My daughter helps out as a junior staff in a couple of classes and would LOVE anything! That is sweet of you to remember them.

lol...that is cheap...I have to pay for 5 and they are $140 a piece!

While the costume is expensive (they always are) imo it shouldn't negate the hard work of the teacher. Even a $5 gc to dd shows appreciation.

You don't have to go crazy, the teachers aren't paid much..so anything is appreciated. The assistants would be thrilled with maybe something from bath & bodyworks, a GC to dunkin, Pink, a bath bomb.
Right now your daughter sounds like she's young, don't be bullied or feel obligated to gift heavily. Also, coming from a Dance Mom.. $140 is on the higher range for a childs costume, Unless someone is studding it & that cost is included.
I always gift based on Choreography. If I feel as if the teacher slapped some sh%t together or recycled from past years.. no gift. But hey, my daughter dances in a Company & I'm in it for 8grand a year..I already feel raped.

I agree. The costume is part of the expectations when you sign up for dance. If you don't want to buy the costume, opt of of the recital portion.
That said I think gift cards are good. DD has two teachers, I bought them each cute make-up bags, with some hair accessories and am putting in a $10 gc to Starbucks/.

Gifts are never mandatory. If it's too much just don't give and don't feel guilty. I don't give to everyone either
