gift for mom
whats the best gift you've given you mom? I am looking for ideas ... that is easily transportable as she is in a different country
she doesn't drink
she plays a lot of golf, and has everything
we have no kids, so nothing for 'grandma'
she is 77

she is not very technical - I usually stock her up with disposable cameras when I visit

Hmmmm...maybe you can send her a digital photo frame with pictures of the family.
ETA: Since you just came back from a visit, maybe you can download pics from your trip into the frame.

Tickets to a broadway show and a nice restaurant GC..
ETA: Sorry, didn't see the different country part... Perhaps you can find out where there is a theatre district near her..

My mom loved when I gave her theatre tickets.
Does she have girlfriends she hangs out with there that she can go see a show with?
Honestly, I think the best give you could possibly give her is a visit...

She is coming out for Thanksgiving and we'll pick a show then
However, the tickets got me thinking and I got her tickets to see 42nd Street on the "broadway" of Ireland. She'll take a friend and I think she'll love it - thanks for the great ideas.
eta - because she just doesn't need any more sweaters

How about a party!?
I had a surprise 77th Birthday for my Father. He was very surprised and everyone thought it was a good idea.
Why wait for a big birthday!
Celebrate life right now!
My Dad felt so loved, and it was right after my Mother passed away.
I'm so glad that I did that for him. He didn't make it to his 80th birthday.
