Gift help - 5 year old new big sister
My friend from work had a baby this week and I'm going to visit her on Sunday. She doesn't have a lot of family around & I would like to bring something for her older daughter to acknowledge what a great big sister she'll be(is already!). . .I'm clueless.
Help me out here Moms!

anything!! A shirt, a toy, a doll, etc. I am sure the big sister will be feeling a little out of the loop when the baby comes, so anything to brighten HER day will be welcomed!

-My friends got my daughter a pair of pajamas that say 'Big Sister' on it, pretty hair pieces and a fairy princess doll.
-We got a frame that says 'Me and my sister' and we took tons of pics (because everyone wants to take pics of the new baby) and this allowed her to be in alot of them without feeling like we were sticking her in the pics as a 'just becase we dont want to leave you out gesture'...but when she wasnt included in the pic she wouldnt feel left out....kwim??) and then we let her pick her fave to put in the frame.
-A shirt to wear at the hospital.
-You can make her a little basket with summer stuff -- chalk, bubbles, a jump rope, hula hoop, sand molds, etc
-Maybe a doll that has diapers etc so that she can change, feed, nap her doll when mommy is doing those things for the baby.

Def say an arts & craft item so she has a project when Mom is tending to baby.
How about one of those Melissa & Doug bead sets? I've seen them at Home Goods for under $10, or Century 21.

books - one that I really liked that she received is named... a Pocket Full of Kisses
and one of my favorite...since we had a girl...Target sells a little sister, big sister dolls
hmmmm....you had to see the amount of stuff we came home with just for her...just a little spoiled huh!
