Gift idea for adults making confirmation?
This is my son's Godfather, so it's also an extra special person in his life. what type of gift do we give? tHere's really no party, since its a late evening mass, but we're really proud of him
I have NO idea what to get as a gift. He's in his late 30's.

I'd probably just get a gift card to Barnes & Noble or Borders.

A cross on a chain would be nice!

I would give a gift card to a store he liked.

I need to look into this. I never made my confirmation - they said it was optional and I have since decided I want to do it. Sorry to hijack the post - I'm just thinking out loud.

Re: Gift idea for adults making confirmation?
If you want to go the religious route, a cross is good. Is he Catholic? Then you could do rosary beads or a Miraculous Medal and maybe get it engraved. If you want something more secular, maybe a watch engraved from your son.
edited for spelling.
