Gift ideas for boys
Trying to shop for preteens when they have everything is tough. Especially boys who mostly play fortnite or on their phones.
We have Playstation, but mostly plays Fortnite and some other games with friends, has an Iphone already.
Was thinking a Jersey, maybe Oculus for the 2 of them combined (they are 11 and 9), I have some books on the list. They are not into puzzles anymore. Haven't opened the ones from last year.
My 9 year old loves Legos so thinking a big set, but which one? I have Baby Yoda on the list already. Any other big ones popular? Spike ball, soccer net are on the list.
We have cordless headphones. Any good ones for the Switch? My 9 year old was asking. Thanks!

They don't make a detailed list like my kids have done?
It is so much easier as they get older to ask them exactly what they want.

Gift ideas for boys
I'm getting them:
beanbag chairs games for Switch/XBox The new Giants Salute to Service sweatshirt & Hat Wheeled baseball game XBOX and Nintendo eShop giftcards
I've spent the last few weeks purging crap. I am going to try to keep it minimal and useful this year.
DS 2 has asked for a new Playstation with the Spiderman game and they have both asked for gaming PCs which I said no. Possibly Occulus - it was on their list last year...

... not always... I have a 17yo DS, and it's nearly impossible to get him to tell us what he wants....
What store sells "I dunno"?...

What about outdoor yard games? Would they play cornhole or something like that?
Sports equipment but they prob already have it? A volley ball net or something could be fun.
Any name brand clothes or shoes they are into?
This age is hard, especially for boys who may not be into stuff as much.

I am having such a hard time finding things for my kids. They have sports equipment, laptops, gaming stuff. They play roblox, Minecraft, the one with the venting and sus thing, talk on zoom with friends. I bought books. That is it. I am so behind.

Re: Gift ideas for boys
Ugh - no ***** clue.
It's so hard.
He mentioned a wireless keyboard which would mean we would also get him a desk which means rearranging his room. I don't know if I want to go down that road.
I miss the action figure days sometimes.

Yes! This age is so tough. I miss the easy gifts like cars, fisher price stuff, games, etc. It's such a hard age bc they just play outside sports or video games.

My son is 9. He is asking for a hoverboard, some Baby Yoda thing, Football trading cards, Pokemon is still his jam and he wants a reindeer pet for his elf. LOL I'm glad he still believes.
I like the bean bag chair idea though.

Re: Gift ideas for boys
Boys are tough and especially if all they really do is play video games like mine.
My 11 year old bought himself a gaming PC last year with his birthday and holiday money. His birthday is around Thanksgiving so we tend to do combo gifts. So he is getting a second monitor, he got a new desk for his computer (really he needed a bigger one for remote school) and a gaming chair.
My 9 year old's big gift will be a TV for his room that he can use his Switch on (really a gift for me so I can have my living room back). I have an old TV he is getting, so I just bought a Fire stick. He still plays with Legos so I am thinking the Lego Super Mario sets (the older one bought the starter kit). He will probably get Vbucks cards from family.

Re: Gift ideas for boys
We got my 11 & 10 year olds Razor E325 scooters at the end of the summer and they love them - adults can even ride them and they have larger inflatable wheels. My DH and I tried them and they are so much fun. I wish we would have saved them for Christmas.
My boys want the new Xbox Series X and PS5 which I didn’t preorder so I’m basically screwed. They may be getting “IOUs” this year. I may get one a new gaming desk but then I wouldn’t know what to get the other...
Another year we bought them gaming chairs which were a big hit.
