Gift ideas for friend's 40th

Any price point you're looking at? I know you didn't want to do a gift card, but for my friend's 30th, I gave him a Zagat's for 2 gift card. It's $99 and covers a 3-course meal for 2 at about 50 different Zagat restaurants in NY. They have them for a few other cities, too, which would be really cool if they are planning to travel to any of the cities. I got it, surprisingly, through Barnes and Noble's website.

For my 30th my friends gave me a gift certificate for a massage at Red door. Its something I greatly appreciated and I know I would never spend money on something like that for myself not with having an almost 1 year old son. All extra money goes to him so no splurges for mommy!
