Gift suggestions for a 1 year old?
We are invited to a 1 year old boy's birthday party at a VERY nice restaurant. What is the protocol here for a gift???

I am invited to a 1 year old girl's party...just went to her christening last week and gave a check. I think I am just going to get a toy/doll that she can use now or grow into. There are tons of boy toys that you could get...do you feel like you need to give money?

Thanks so much for the responses!!
I guess i do feel like I have to give money, although I would rather give a gift but not seem cheap (they do pretty well for themselves).
Also, those who gave bonds/money - How much??

A play cell phone and keys
A play tool set or some sort of shape sorting toy.
Melissa and Doug puzzles with the animal sounds. DD loves those.
and books are always a great gift. Board books or regular books with lots of pics and a short story for mom and dad to read to him. Or books that do things.. light up, make sounds, have different textures, etc.
