Girl Nurseries

If you will be doing them pink, are you going to use another color to break it up? I saw a bedding that had green in it that was really pretty,( it was actually the bedding they had in the crib we purchased at Sukons )but I am not sure if I want to do green.

Re: Girl Nurseries

pink and green look great together, but pink goes with lots of other colors too!

if i had to choose, i would probably do pink and brown, i love the way that looks.

Re: Girl Nurseries

We are going to do a very pale pink Venetian plaster on the walls and her furniture is espresso...very dark. DH likes the green with it. My mom wants to get me these toile curtains she saw and he is saying it will be too much pink. The little chandelier we want to get is white with little pink and green flowers. More effort is going into this room than mine!

Re: Girl Nurseries

We had the whole fourth floor of our house redone last summer and I am VERY sensitive to paint fumes...I had to stay at my parents for a few weeks while it aired out. So we had the painters paint the nursery a pale yellow and all the trim whilte.....

So if its a girl we will probably do fuschia bedding with another color and if its a boy turquoise and navy.. and the walls will be teh same neutral color!

Boy or girl I think I'm going to paint the room a warm cream color and then do one wall in a stripe with an added pale pink or blue -

I like green with pink, I also like brown, aqua and navy..........

I did this in pink. The bedding I chose is pink and brown, but I got a green and pink rug to brighten the room up.

Here it is:

Re: Girl Nurseries

We painted the nursery pink, but the bedding and all accessories are green and purple so it will break up the pink. We also got a lot of wall hangings that go with the bedding, so everything is broken up.

We had a family friend do it, but it was pretty easy and took less than two hours (more to let the first coat dry before the second was applied). It just takes some painter's tape and a roller. We even made it easier by doing the stripe the exact size of the roller.
