Who else remembers those color-coded folder things? Each type of cookie had its own color section on the folder you used when you sold cookies.

At least, that's how it was done in the 70s! Chat Icon

And I loved the little patches you got for selling them- I had one that said "Cookie Fun in '81."

I never did sell more than a measly 50 boxes, and that was in the day where you could go door-to-door! Chat Icon

I busted my butt getting that patch - whatever the lowest one was. My dad's job banned all selling of kids stuff, so I had to go door to door and ask everyone I knew.

I remember the color coded boxes too!Chat Icon

I sold cookies too!! Remember when we sold peanuts too?? I LOOOOVED the toffee ones!!!

Did anyone else earn "prizes" for selling a certain amount??

I used to go thru the whole enitre neighborhood to sell them!!! My mom did not work and my dad worked at a palce with 3 people so I had no choice but to g door to doorChat Icon

I was a brownie and a girl scout. My mom was a troop leader one year. I usually sold the most cookies in my troop b/c my mom would buy 20-30 boxes. She was nuts.

when I was in kindergarden my mother went nutty with selling them. I won the bike or something. Later on, my troop always dreamed about putting on a Troop Beverly Hills concert in the streets to sell.Chat Icon
