Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
How often, if at all, do you feel the baby at this point? I've been having the "popcorn popping" sensations for a few days and have related it to the baby because I can tell when it is usually gas but the past 2 days I haven't really felt anything or it's not as often and it makes me nervous (well more sad). So how often do you feel the baby? Is it usually in the same spot?

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
At 18 weeks I hardly felt the baby. Didn't really start feeling the baby till about 23 weeks or so and it was so sporadic. I found out at my Level 2 I have an anteria placenta. Now I'm over 32 weeks pregnant and feel the baby alot. Right now the baby is small and has so much room so it is harder to feel anything

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
I had the same feeling at that point and TRUST ME you will not feel her everyday! I used to get soo nervous as well but it is true. I would maybe feel her in mornng and then NOTHING for 2-3 days. So dont get nervous.
I would post the same thing as you and people would tell me exactly what I am telling you and I wouldn't believe them
but it is true.
Now at 24 weeks I feel her all so much more!!! It will happen to you too!

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
I *think* I am feeling the baby, but it isn't that popcorn popping people have mentioned. "Flutters" might be closer, but it's usually only a flutter or two, and I only feel it VERY sporadically. Like, if I'm paying really close attention, and lying perfectly still, I might feel the baby if I'm lying down. I only just started to feel it in the last few days, and didn't realize what it was right away.
My doctor told me at 16 weeks that it would most likely be another month or so before I felt anything, so I really wouldn't worry yet.

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
When I first started feeling the popping sensation I was 17 weeks and felt it a few times a day, sometimes less and sometimes more. By 19 weeks I was feeling full on kicks and bumps and it's very frequent now (i'm 19 1/2 weeks). I usually feel it very low and on the right side, sometimes in the middle.
What I find is that when I lay on my back propped up a little I feel the most movement.

This same thing happened to me. I was still questioning whether it was gas or actual flutters. I promise it will get more prominent over the next week or two! Hang in there!

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
Thanks girls I know most people say it is early and you usually feel them later in the next few weeks but I guess I am anxious to start feeling the little one, more so for DH to start feeling what I can feel. I am so not patient! Thanks for all your input!

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
I had the popping sensation for a few weeks prior to really feeling the baby at about 19 weeks. I had these light little twinges/flutters and then all of the sudden one day it was an obvious HARD kick! Since then I feel the baby everyday but there are times during the day that he/she is less active. It's coming soon just hang in there! Soon it will be kicking like crazy

I am 18w today & have yet to feel the baby. I am anxiously awaiting but I guess that it will still be some time. I can't wait to go for our level II so I can see the baby kicking & hopefully soon after I will feel the baby

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
Im 20 weeks today and the last 2 weeks I have been having that same feeling. It only happens about twice a day or the time being, i know t will get more frequent, but i would say enjoy every minute of it. It should get more frequent in a couple weeks.

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
i would feel the baby 2-3 times a day at 18w and then i would go like 3 days in a row feeling him and then 3 days not feeling him
my dr says its normal not to feel the baby all the time because he is so little and still has plenty of room to move

Re: Girls around the 18 week mark (or anyone who can answer)
I'm 22 weeks now and I've been feeling the baby since about 16 1/2 weeks - but not consistently every day. Especially if I was busy and not paying much attention, days would go by when I hadn't felt anything.
Even now it can be a while between kicks. I had a sonogram on Monday night and the doctor said the baby was moving around like crazy, but I couldn't feel a thing. It was a bit surreal watching it on screen and not being able to feel it, but it just goes to show how small the baby still is and that even if you don't feel it, it's still moving in there!
Good luck.
