Girls in the third trimester, I have a ?...
Are you experiencing BH contractions? And if so, how often? I feel like I have them almost everyday now (I'm just about 34 weeks), and I get them up to 9 or 10 times a day. Is that normal?

I have been getting them too. My Dr. said to call him if I get more than five an hour.

I am not getting them
You might be and just don't realize it. Sometimes they don't hurt at all, my belly just gets tight, but lately, it feels like mild-moderate period cramping.

Yep had them since week 31. If it is braxton hicks it will go away if you lay on your left side, drink water, or walk around. It could also be the baby pressing on your prineinum (i had this too) which can cause mild pelvic pain. Sorry you have this it s*cks!

Ok, another question. I'm just full of 'em today!!! If it IS BH contractions, should I be feeling it in my entire uterus, or can it be just the lower part of my uterus? Because maybe what I thought were BH contractions actually aren't because they're only in my lower abdomen.

My BH felt like knives going into my pelvis, lower abdomen and uterus. Then they felt like a tightening in my belly. Now I have this early labor/predonal labor going on and they feel more intense and are not going away like the BH did. BH comes and goes. My doctor told me to have a glass of wine to relax my muscles and see if the BH went away when I had BH bad. The glass of wine did the trick! With the early labor/predonal labor the wine, laying on my side, drinking water, walking around does not stop it. I guess that is how you can tell if you are in early labor verses BH.
I hope my experience helps you Rachel. I feel like the BH/early labor expert at this point. It is not fun to have BH, because sometimes it can get very painful.

I am definitely having BH contractions, then. Because that is exactly what it feels like, stabbing pains in my lower abdomen and tightening and all that fun stuff. But they DO go away, usually within 30 seconds to a minute. I'm sorry you're going through all that with the early/predonal labor

Thanks If they go away within 30-60 seconds, how far are they apart? When I had BH they were 2-3 sometimes 4 in a hour, never more than that. If you are having between 4-5 in an hour call you doctor. That is what my doctor told me to do.

They're never more than four in an hour. I usually get two every hour for a few hours, then they go away.

Re: Girls in the third trimester, I have a ?...
I am 36 weeks and started getting them bad about 2 weeks ago. I get them every day. My Dr. said that if it lasts more then 2 hrs to call him. Mine seem to last almost that long and then go away. It is so annoying. Sometimees they are very painful
