Girls in your 30s, have you noticed this??

I wasn't looking forward to my 30s, but to be honest 30 was a great year and 31 is turning out to be better.

I feel so much more comfortable with myself and more confident in who I am.

I loved my twenties, but when I looked back there were definitely times were I was not confident and that made me unhappy at times.

I look forward to everyday, when in the past I was a little more scared of dealing with the everyday. Am I making sense? Chat Icon

You are making total sense. I hope to get to the place you are in. You sound like you are enjoying life, the way it should be.

Yep, makes sense to me. I feel the same way. And it keeps getting better (at least it has for me - I'm 35 and have never been happier). Chat Icon

I feel the same way. I did not like my 20's but my 30's have been exactly the way you wrote. I think we are more grounded and more comfortable were we are in our lives. Chat Icon

I loved my 20s but I wouldn't do them over; they were too exhausting. My 30s are more settled and lots of really exciting stuff is happening (big promotion, got married, getting a house, having kids). Much better.

I don't think I've ever been in a better place. I am very blessed with an amazing life. I really don't miss my 20's at all.

Re: Girls in your 30s, have you noticed this??

Yes, my 30s were MUCH better than my 20s. I had a lot of fun in my 20s, but there was so much uncertainty in my life--job, boyfriends (or lack of at times), had a crappy apartment, little money, etc.

It's funny because I think the most difficult things I have had to do in life all happened in my 30s, but there were some really good times also. Financially, I'm much more stable, and I met and married DH in my 30s. And, I felt much more confident in myself, in all ways.

Now I'm 39, so I'm wondering if 40s will be the same or better. I'm guessing things go slightly downhill from here, at least physically. Any ladies in their 40s on this board?

I agree 100%. I was apprehensive about turning 30 at first. Now, I'm 32 and loving it!

Re: Girls in your 30s, have you noticed this??

I hope you're right.

I turn 31 in 2 weeks and for some reason, its a lot harder on me than turning 30. At my 30th b-day I announce my pregnancy and I was just so happy! Now I am not loving my body, a lot of my good friends have moved away in the last year and I have insecurities about parenting.

I have always felt comfortable with who I am- since my early 20's- so I don't think that will change. Now I am adjusting to my role as a mom, and that is probably where I am the hardest on myself. Its so hard to know what to do sometimes and how to balance your needs with what's best for DC.

It's funny you say this... I remember last year when I turned 29 my boss (of all people) said "Wait until next year...the 30's were the BEST time in my life. You have nothing to prove."

So far...so good.Chat Icon

I am definitely more comfortable in my own skin than I was in my 20's. I know who I am, who I was and I'm wiser because of it.

I feel more settled approaching 30....but

I loved my 20's -- I felt like I was in my "prime" - I was thinner and had more money to shop!
