Just check your bottle and make sure it doesn't have a recall on it. DH was taking baby asprin for a little while and was starting to have some complications like terrible headaches he never experienced before. I googled it and found out his bottle was part of a recall!!! It was the St. Joseph's brand I think.

Re: Girls taking baby asprin
I have a friend that did this when she was TTC and got pregnant. I only started once I was working with my RE and started right after ovulation and now still take Baby Aspirin during my pregnancy. I also have clotting disorders though.
I would def ask your Dr before taking though..
I just found these comments below... online
"It helps to improves blood flow to the ovaries, improving follicle development, and improves blood flow to the uterus, improving the quality of the uterine lining. This increases the odds that implantation will be successful. Also, during pregnancy, it will help to prevent mc or fetal demise in those prone to blood clots. "it thickens the uterine lining, making it more hospitable for implantation"

How much should you take on a daily basis? I just got the results back from CD 3 bloodwork. There is a faint positive for some sort of blood clotting disorder - Lupus something (can't remember the full name). My OB/GYN wants me to see a rheumatologist. Is this something that baby aspirin might help with?

You should not self-medicate when it's something like that. Definitely go to a specialist and find out what it is. I saw a hematologist because I tested borderline for a clotting disorder that my father has. They took a ton of blood, but it was worth finding out for certain what's going on. You could make a condition a lot worse, or make it difficult to properly diagnose and treat if you try to self medicate before seeing a specialist.

Thank you for the advice. Would you mind sharing if they did end up finding out that you had the disorder?

Oh... lol... I tested borderline for a Factor XI deficiency. I went to the specialist at Duke (I live near there so it wasn't a far trip for me) and he tested me and said I do not have it. He did say that once I became pregnant to let my OB know that my father has it and to keep a watch for it (it's a clotting disorder where you don't clot properly, although you appear to at first).
The specialist told me that sometimes blood disorders change in your body when you become pregnant since sometimes your factors can increase or decrease based on your hormones during pregnancy. So far all my blood tests at my OB have been totally normal, but I will mention the Factor XI thing again when I get closer to giving birth. It would be very, very bad to bleed out giving birth without being able to clot.
