girls that are very close to the end.....mucus plug?
So I lost my plug yesterday (the whole thing) at 38w 2d and I know that it doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I am still excited that something is going on! I was really crampy and had contractions for 3 hours on Sunday night so I wasn't surprised when it happened yesterday afternoon. This morning I woke up with a wet spot in my underwear..I think it was pee  I go to the doctor tonight so we shall see. Who else has lost their plug? What did your doctor say?

I started to lose mine yesterday too and had cramping and contractions all day. I am 38 wks 5days. I called the DR and they said it could still be a week or so  ! They said to call if I don't feel the baby move or the contractions get closer and intensify- 5 mins apart, otherwise I have to wait it out. I have my 39 wk tomorrow and they are supposed to do an internal so mb that will get things moving. I have had some contractions today and lost more of it today.
I went and walked the mall yesterday to try to get things moving but no luck!! Happy waiting!

thank you for the responses and good luck to all of you, too!! As happy as I am that something is happening, this could also be a really long wait. I was so calm before yesterday and now I'm so anxious. I almost wish that it didn't happen if this baby decides that he/she wants to hang out for a bit longer!

FYI my DR also said NO BD'ing b/c bacteria could get up into your cervix... yeah the waiting game stinks

yeah I figured that BD'ing wouldn't be a good idea. I had planned on forcing DH to BD this weekend, too!! He got lucky

I haven't lost mine yet but I actually asked my friend about this yesterday and was going to post about it....she lost hers 2 weeks before giving birth...so it doesn't really mean you are going to go tomorrow....KWIM

yeah it seems that 50% of women give birth within a few days of losing it and others don't. So basically it means nothing! These babies just love to mess with their mommies! I just asked 3 girls that I work with and they all lost theirs and gave birth either that day or the next day. But I've heard just as many stories of it taking a week or two. I guess we just have to wait and see!

I'm 39w 3 days. Haven't lost my mucus plug. Does that mean that labor is no where near, or could it happen when I start labor?
