Never heard of this and never even thought of giving my OB any kind of gift.  (Maybe bc never really liked her,she was THE WORST )

At my 6 week checkup I brought my OB my DD's announcement, a thank you card and a gift certificate to Smokin' Al's BBQ in Bay Shore. I love my OB too.

I gave him a good bottle of wine (Cakebread) and the I for the ladies in the office we got them cookies..I gave it to them at the office.

My OB is awesome and I never thought do give a gift.... Maybe if we have #2 I will definately do something for my doc

I gave the office a huge box of Godiva chocolates. I figured with all of the negative weight comments he made to me it was a fitting gift. I gained 24 lbs with DS.

Me either.
But then again, i had the perfect pregnancy/delivery... so if it had been different, maybe i would have.
I had all kinds of complications last 2 months of my pregnancy and bad delivery experience, and it was all bc of my OB . she is lucky she didn't get sued,lol.

I have to add my Dr is just simply wonderful and delivered both of my children.

I brought an edible arrangement to my 1st visit after DS was born. And I gave my OB a card with a GC to the gourmet deli near the office.

I gave my OB a gift for both my DC. I love my OB and he helped me with a lot of different issues. For DC #1 we got him an engraved beer stein (it was a long running joke between us) and for #2 we got him a g/c to one of his favorite italian restaurants. I gave him both gifts the day I was discharged from the hospital....I prepare ahead of time with almost everything. I also bought the staff cookies in at my 6 pp checkup.

I brought her a robe with soaps/candles at my 6 week visit. I even gave the receptionist who made my appointments. a gift - a picture frame. She was awesome - I had many appointments because I am diabetic and she made sure I got the earliest appointment so it didn't interfere with my job.

 i gained 60 lbs with ds (30 of it dropped right away)... if they ever gave me negative weight comments i think i would have been crying every single day....
Thanks girls- I ended up ordering a box of Mrs Fields cookies- and a bear dressed up in scrubs- that i'll bring to the follow up appt my poor dr will remember me as the lady who requested the forcepts after every push durring the 2 1/2 hours of delivery.
